This June, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ students, families, and educators who enrich our public schools with their courage, creativity, and resilience. Every student deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported in the classroom—regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.
At the Secular Education Association, we believe in a public education system rooted in inclusion, equality, and respect for all. That means standing firmly against any efforts—religious or otherwise—that seek to marginalize or erase LGBTQ+ voices from our schools.
A truly secular education honors the dignity and rights of every student. This Pride Month, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting the separation of church and state and promoting a public education system where all students can learn without fear of discrimination or exclusion.
Love is love. Equality is essential. Education should be for EVERYONE.
