If sending candy back to school is a business’ first amendment right, why does LifeWise need the legislators to codify it into state law in a budget line?

Make NO mistake- this is about their ability to coerce children to attend and bribe them to invite their peers.

What people are saying:

  • Secular Education Association: Secular Education Association
  • Facebook User: Absolutely not!!!
  • Facebook User: This is religious indoctrination. Nothing less. It must be stopped !
  • Facebook User: Yep yep yep. My understanding is that they actively encourage the children to coerce their peers into joining. 🤮
  • Facebook User: This is just the beginning, Lifewise will continue to grow and tie everything to a lawsuit when they don’t get their way.
  • Facebook User: Here’s the mile…. We gave them an inch
Some of us saw it coming
  • Facebook User: Then the schools need to put in the policy that any handouts given by Lifewise have to remain in their backpacks while on school property
  • Facebook User: I was afraid of this
  • Facebook User: It’s a safety issue. Check regular school policies.
  • Facebook User: People who do not see the dangers of this cult are ridiculously naïve. Get this. Lifewise is not a religious organization, it’s a political cult that wants to turn our country into a white nationalistic fundamentalist country.
  • Facebook User: Would they do the same for Jews? Muslims? Buddhists? Of course not.
    • Facebook User: Facebook User here is where, in my limited experience, this is an apples-oranges argument: in my many years as a public school tutor, I never chatted with Buddhist children or their families, but did chat with children from two different Muslim families as well as one Jewish girl. They would not speak loudly about their religion and would hardly even share unless I asked questions to further my understanding. The Muslim children attended Arabic school after school; one whispered, excitedly, that she was learning the language better since her family had generally encouraged the children to speak and write in American English. None carried in any pamphlets and, if they did earn prizes, they did not have the opportunity to come straight back and flaunt them…which has already happened with Life Wise participants. I am 100% against this whole program!
  • Facebook User: Nope
