The Senate Education Committee is accepting opponent testimony until 2 PM EDT today, June 23 for SB 156 which will force schools to adopt what’s known as the “success sequence.”
This will allow a committee to establish standards and a model curriculum for grades 6-12 instructing students to complete high school, obtain full time work and marry before having children in order to avoid poverty.
This is yet another attack on public education and our children disguised by “family values”.
This is cultural indoctrination. It is more government overreach that takes control away from locally elected school board members. The lack of definition in this bill is also a concern, leaving these standards and curriculum to be developed by hand picked committee members at both the state and local level.
Testimony must be submitted through the link below and MUST be uploaded in PDF format. The simplest way to do this is by typing up your testimony in Google Docs, then clicking “File”, “Download”, “PDF” and saving the document to your computer in order to upload it on the Education Committee’s website.
