π¨ What LifeWise Is Really Teaching π¨
This page comes straight from a LifeWise Academy lesson plan β written for fourth graders. In it, kids act out the difference between βRyan,β a so-called bad student who throws fits, steals, and βthinks church is dumbβ β and βAmy,β the good student who shares, works hard, and βloves going to church.β
π The class is then asked: βWhom do you want for a friend? Whom does God like more?β
LifeWise likes to tell school boards and parents that their program is about βcharacter education.β But their own curriculum shows the truth: students are taught that attending church makes you βgoodβ and that God prefers those children.
This isnβt about kindness or respect. Itβs religious indoctrination β pulling nine- and ten-year-olds out of public classrooms to learn that their worth depends on church attendance. At this age, kids are still forming their sense of fairness and belonging. When theyβre told βgood kids go to church,β the lesson isnβt just a story β it shapes how they see and treat their classmates.
Public schools must serve all students, regardless of belief. Teaching children that some of their peers are βbadβ because they donβt βlove going to churchβ undermines inclusion, stigmatizes kids, and violates the spirit of church-state separation.

It tries to insert itself into our laws, politics and public institutions where it does not belong. I and many others donβt want religion in our government. Believe what you want but donβt try to make me believe in your god. All it does is cause people to hurt and kill each other in the name of some deity. It has killed millions all in the name of religion and deities and is still going on today. You first have to lure them to the religion with promises, with which they use faith, hope and belief, then they use the fear and hatred to keep the control.

Christianity is all too often merely a coat of frosting on the cupcake of bigotry.

They’re the ones in most need of God’s guidance, too, so this school ought to teach its students to pray for and help children who misbehave and don’t regularly attend church instead of ostracizing them. This is why so many people end up rejecting God: because they were rejected by people who claim to follow Him, but contradict even their own beliefs by avoiding the very people God needs them to reach out to the most. This is detrimental to everyone of Christian faith and not, and it needs to change. π

- Facebook User: I’ve known special needs students who have meltdowns (not “fits”) and other behavior issues. To a certain extent they cannot help it, they are certainly NOT “bad” and they need and deserve friends as much as others. In my mind they are loved by God just as much as other children, although discussions about negative Godly judgments do not belong in public schools
