🚨 OHIO: Heads Up for Tuesday (11 AM) 🚨

The Ohio Senate Education Committee is holding yet another hearing — the fifth one — on S.B. 34, and we need people paying attention.

S.B. 34 would require every public school classroom to display at least one “historical document” chosen from a list that includes:

📜 The Articles of Confederation
📜 The Northwest Ordinance
📜 The U.S. Constitution
…and then, right alongside those historical documents:
✝️ The Ten Commandments
💵 “In God We Trust” (which is not a historical document in any meaningful sense)

This is another attempt to slip religious messaging into public school classrooms under the guise of “history” and “heritage.” These bills are popping up nationwide as part of a larger Christian nationalist strategy to blur the line between church and state — and Ohio is once again on the front line.

📅 Hearing: Tuesday, 11:00 a.m.
🏛️ Committee: Senate Education Committee

If you’re in Ohio, now’s the time to tune in, submit written testimony, or contact your senator. SEA will keep you updated as the bill moves.

Public schools should teach history, not religious doc
