🚨 THIS IS NOT JUST A NEW CHRISTIAN-SCHOOL NETWORK. IT IS AN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR DEFUNDING, DIVIDING AND RELIGIOUSLY RESHAPING PUBLIC EDUCATION. 🚨
Yesterday, we introduced you to Alaska Family Action and the national political network operating behind it.
Then, exactly one week ago, Alaska Family Council announced that it is “linking arms” with Aaron Baer’s Christian Education Network to create the Alaska Christian Education Network.
Why does that matter?!?
Because Aaron Baer and his Ohio-based Center for Christian Virtue have already demonstrated exactly how this model works.
They attack public education from both directions.
➡️ On one side, they work to move public support away from public schools and toward private Christian education.
-CCV and its Ohio Christian Education Network have fought to expand vouchers, scholarship tax credits and other mechanisms that fund private religious schooling.
-They have helped churches launch new Christian schools.
-They openly argue that government should fund “students, not systems”—meaning public money should follow students out of the public system and into private schools.
🚨Now they are scaling that model nationally. Beginning in 2027, the federal tax-credit program will allow individuals to redirect up to $1,700 in federal tax liability into private-school scholarships.
Baer calls this the “greatest discipleship opportunity in our generation.” 👀
Alaska Family Council’s new network will advocate for Christian schools, establish a scholarship-granting organization and encourage Alaskans to direct that money into Christian education.
That is one side of the strategy. But they are not content to build a separate religious-school system with public support.
➡️The other side is: They are also working to insert religious instruction into the public-school day.
-Center for Christian Virtue successfully pushed Ohio lawmakers to change state law from saying public schools “may” allow released-time religious instruction to saying they “shall”—removing local districts’ power to refuse programs like LifeWise Academy.
-The new law also requires public-school districts to collaborate with released-time religious organizations to schedule their programs during the school day.
😡Yep. When local public schools had the discretion to say no, CCV helped change the law so they could not.
And Alaska Family Council is already following the same playbook. It has partnered with LifeWise Academy and raised money to bring Bible instruction to students at Clark Middle School during the public-school day.
Alaska Family Council described that mission in its own words: “bringing the Gospel to public school kids during the day.”
Now that same organization is building the Alaska Christian Education Network with Aaron Baer—the man whose organization helped force released-time religious instruction into Ohio districts while expanding publicly supported Christian education outside them.
This is the mechanism:
👉 Divert public support toward private Christian schools.
👉 Expand the number and reach of those schools.
👉 Insert Christian ministries into the public-school day.
👉 Change laws to remove local resistance.
👉 Build state advocacy organizations capable of repeating the process nationwide.
Then tell the public this is simply about “choice.”
NO IT IS NOT.
-Public education is being squeezed from both sides.
-Resources and students are pulled out while religious organizations push further in.
-Children are divided during the school day.
-Local control disappears when communities resist.
And public schools—the only schools required to welcome and serve every child—are left to absorb the disruption and survive the losses.
🚫This is not about parental rights.
🚫It is not about “religious freedom.”
🚫And it is not merely about scholarships.
This is about replacing public education—not improving it.
✔️It is about starving public schools of students, funding and political support while building a publicly subsidized Christian alternative in their place.
✔️It is about forcing Christian ministries into the public-school day, dividing children by religion and stripping local communities of the power to say no.
✔️It is about changing laws, capturing public policy and gaining access to children—whether they attend a Christian school or remain in a public one.
🚨The goal is NOT coexistence.
🚨The goal is a Christian education system funded by the public, advanced by statehouses and embedded inside the school day—while the public schools that serve everyone are systematically weakened around it.
