    Those are not the same thing.

    Colorado’s own Department of Education explicitly states that its LGBTQ-inclusive history and civics standards do not require comprehensive human sexuality education. They require students to learn about the history, culture, and contributions of different groups of Americans — including racial minorities, religious minorities, and LGBTQ people.

    Learning that gay or transgender people exist in American history is no more “sexual indoctrination” than learning about a heterosexual historical figure is.

    And none of that is remotely equivalent to an outside religious organization recruiting children into a faith tradition.

    You were asked what “sexual matters” schools were supposedly indoctrinating children about. This still doesn’t establish that claim.

Trans is a manufactured reality that you cannot test scientifically, so it is a faith claim. The LGBT claims about sexual morality are just as much a faith claim as any religious tradition only they are backed by every department of the school. Every handout given to kids asking them for their pronouns is an indoctrination into a faith tradition.

    Any kid that disagrees is shunned as a bigot and homophobe.

    At this point, I can’t think of any mainstream religious tradition that is as constant and forceful about pushing its version of orthodoxy.

• Facebook User: At my daughter’s school, there was a man standing directly outside the door the children come out of, where parents aren’t allowed to stand, to hand out cookies and a flyer for his church to the kids before they get to their parents. Abhorrent behavior and so sickeningly predatory.

At minimum, it creates a documented record and puts both the district and local authorities on notice that families are concerned about the conduct.

They stand on the sidewalk so they’re not on school property and hand out little books. It’s super gross and I wish they would stop. I’m not worried about my kids–they troll them, laugh at them, pretend to want a book and immediately throw it in the trash–but not every kid has their fortitude.
