🚨 THIS IS BIGGER THAN VOUCHERS.

The IRS just released new rules for the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit, which starts in 2027.

Here’s the simple version:

Taxpayers will be able to donate to approved Scholarship Granting Organizations and receive a federal tax credit. Those organizations then distribute scholarships for qualifying K–12 education expenses.

🚫And this is NOT limited to private-school tuition.

Public-school students can receive scholarships too. That means this could potentially reach far beyond traditional vouchers:

⛪ Religious private schools
📖 Religious curriculum
🏠 Christian homeschool programs and co-ops
👩‍🏫 Religious tutoring
🏘️ Church-based microschools
💻 Online religious education
📚 Bible and supplemental religious instruction
🚌 Released-time programs like LifeWise Academy

We are NOT saying all of those qualify.

The IRS hasn’t finished defining exactly what expenses will qualify…👀

But let’s be clear about what we already know:

👉This program was designed to move taxpayer-subsidized dollars into private education. It reaches beyond tuition. And public-school students can participate.

What we don’t know yet are the final boundaries. And right now, we have an opportunity to weigh in on them.

👉👉Treasury and the IRS are accepting public comments BEFORE these regulations become final.

The public gets a say before they are. SEA will be submitting comments — and we want you to submit one too. Next up: we’ll show you exactly how.

Because the time to ask where this money can go is before the rules are final and the money starts moving. 💸💸💸
