šØ TWO CHURCHES. YEARS OF REPORTED LEADERSHIP CONCERNS. NOW HEāS OPENING A THIRDā¦.
Pastor C.J. Johnson has faced scrutiny over his leadership at multiple churches.
-At Southland City Church in Minnesota, former staff members reportedly raised concerns about his leadership, including allegations of dishonesty, intimidation, and financial secrecy. (This church is reportedly now closed)
At Northview Church in Indiana, he was dismissed in June 2026 amid reported leadership concerns. His departure also followed an allegation that he propositioned a woman for sex during marriage counseling. Northview said its investigation into that allegation was inconclusive. š
NOW, Johnson is launching a THIRD church in Noblesville, Indiana, on October 25.
And hereās where it gets interesting: Northview Church is listed on SEAās map as a LifeWise Academy host church. In other wordā Thatās the church they take the local kids to for LifeWise Academy. š³
LifeWise wants parents and public schools to trust the religious organizations involved in its programs. But who is checking that trust? Who is examining the people running these churches, their histories, and the complaints made against them?
When public school children are involved, āitās a churchā should NEVER be the end of the conversation. It should be the beginning of the questions. šāāļø
