Core Beliefs with Evangelical Faith
LifeWise claims to be non-denominational, but its curriculum is produced by the Southern Baptist Convention. Their materials follow SBC beliefs. Historically, the SBC supported slavery, segregation, and traditional gender roles. It forbade interracial marriage, women pastors, and abortion. The denomination also faced sexual abuse scandals and political corruption. It opposes same-sex marriage according to its doctrine. LifeWise’s program is clearly based on Evangelical beliefs, as shown in its core beliefs curriculum and documents.
Conversion Mission
The group argues that LifeWise uses RTRI laws to promote religious instruction in public schools. This outreach targets children and is different from other RTRI programs. They say this misuse could require federal litigation. They also recommend updating the laws to better protect students today.
