  • Facebook User: Parents Against Lifewise I personally don’t see how LW curriculum allows for travel time [to and from] and “teaching” and giving the kids lunch for those that are leaving at lunch time. It seems they are going to have to ask for more time which will cut into core classes. Is this going to turn into a battle when schools say “No to extra time”? Are they going to claim the schools are “hindering” their right to RTRI?
• Facebook User: Christianity is my faith but this is completely wrong. I would describe this as infringing on separation of Church and State. Manipulation and indoctrination of children.
• Facebook User: I can’t believe schools are falling for the line of bull they give. Once they get their foot in the door, they do anything they want. I am a Christian and I am totally against allowing this during school time.
  • Facebook User: Facebook User it is the state legislatures. In very red Ohio they just keep adding more time, less restrictions. Every step to insert their version of Christianity that will ultimately lead to Christian Nationalism.
• Facebook User: Definitely should report to school board and principal in writing and raise at public meeting so part of the record.

  Also send missed work home with a note that this is what the student missed today and needs to make-up.

  • Secular Education Association: Facebook User while we agree completely, and you may already be aware- the teachers we’ve heard from are afraid to say anything. Substitutes or not. They are being threatened with losing their jobs. Sometimes fellow subs, teachers or the principal, superintendent etc. are all pro-life wise.
  • Facebook User: Parents Against Lifewise That scares the you know what out of me. Beth Weller was spot on with plan of action.
• Facebook User: I wish the teachers union could do something about it, too.
• Facebook User: What would happen in that classroom if half or more of the class went to Lifewise? Would half the class still get the lesson? Would the teacher have to give the lesson twice? I’ve heard in some schools Lifewise attendance during class causes the kids who don’t go to have to do study hall instead of learning because the Lifewise kids can’t make up what they miss on their own.
• Facebook User: This is disgraceful! I volunteer to read to kids in four classrooms, and in the middle of a book, some mysterious woman comes in and pulls kids out to go get indoctrinated into right wing nationalism Christian bullshit! The kids hate being torn away, but the religious right doesn’t care.
• Facebook User: So is the answer to start teaching at the same time slot, an alternative to Lifewise? All we need are some basic donations, like cookies or ice cream. Then we could help children learn logic, rational thought, useful things like managing money, or how not to be easily convinced without evidence, so they gain critical thinking. Make the movement big enough and the agree to take the school time like Lifewise and beat them at their own game. Maybe then, we could get smarter kids that could survive in the world and not be suckers.
• Facebook User: The state legislatures..bought and paid for…are the ones altering laws to allow this. Ohio is a “Shall” state so schools have no say in it other than deciding when it can take place and even that is being altered by the state. Call, write your legislatures. Still most parents aren’t even aware of this. They sre using your children towards thwir sick end goal.
• Facebook User: The entire concept should be illegal and add to that the end goal of Christian Nationalism…..needs to be stopped!
