This is your chance to sneak a peak into an average Lifewise class and listen for yourself-
what exactly are they teaching the kids they take from our public schools???
One of our brave group members posted weeks prior about attending a Lifewise meeting. This time she got audio 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
“I’ve been voice recording now, just waiting for something to share. While most of what they say is wild and makes me go hmm today was the day! The person talking spoke at length about the movie Passion of the Christ, which is rated R! So not a movie to be discussing with 7-9 year olds!”
We have a photo of the teacher holding a whip as well as some excerpts from the audio.
Here you can find the recording in full.

What people are saying:
- Facebook User: This is what really frightens me about any form or religious education. I worked at a Christian camp before finding my way to atheism, and the stuff they told kids led me down my path away from the faith. At the top of my list is them telling campers, no your dog won’t be in heaven, and telling a little girl their father would go to hell when she asked if he could get into heaven as an atheist. Telling kids the earth is only 6000 years old. If a kid asks any question that might provoke questioning of faith, they’ll pull any answer from their behind to squash the question.
- Facebook User: Ive gotten high with Jesus and he said that’s not how that happened
- Facebook User: I almost think you must be mentally ill to talk about this with children. This is Silence of the Lambs meets Reservoir Dogs meets The Passion of the Christ.
- Zachary Parrish: Facebook User I’d watch that movie
- Facebook User: Reminds me of when I was asked to read some Bible stories to my baby grandson….I sort of made up my own script….no way I was going to read all that violence to a toddler.
- Facebook User: It’s not appropriate for any age. It’s just bizarre.
- Facebook User: But BDSM toys in a parade is ok to bring kids too?
- Facebook User: This individual is not an educator.
- Facebook User: Facebook User fun fact, she’s a retired teacher 😳🤦🏻♀️
- Facebook User: Facebook User smh
- Facebook User: I remember it all too well. Nightmares, anxiety, and bewildered guilt feelings were a great part of childhood.
- Facebook User: I just can’t imagine letting some stranger teach your children religion and you’re not aware of the details. 😳🤯
- Facebook User: Oh my. They are targeting Duval.
- Facebook User: God did not pull away from Jesus. He never left him. He did not intervene because this is what Jesus wanted to do for us. If your gonna teach it, teach it right!
- Facebook User: Okay obviously we’re all looking at the religious yuck but can I also point out another really creepy nugget?
“Don’t let the men hear me…” Sounds a lot like, “Ssshhh… this is between us.” In isolation, maybe not a big deal but it sets a precedent. It establishes normalcy in discussing things off the record and this isn’t the kind of person I’d want my child having any kind of secret with.
Additionally, I wouldn’t want seeds planted in my son that he’s bad with details. He’s not, nor is my husband and that’s just sexism. If your book is so badly written that you can’t answer questions about it, own that. Don’t turn it into some kind of male flaw.
- Facebook User: Disgusting.
