🔴Oklahoma’s first LifeWise Academy program launched in January 2025 for students in second through fifth grades in South Coffeyville near the Kansas-Oklahoma border, and the Bible classes began in Tahlequah a few weeks later.
🔴Groups in Edmond and Altus are working to launch academies in time for the start of the 2025-26 school year.
🔴community groups have surpassed or are close to having the necessary 50 signatures that LifeWise uses to gauge the community’s interest for starting the program. Enid (61 signatures), Tulsa (52 signatures), and Jenks (40 signatures).
🔴Oklahoma was among the first five states chosen to receive a state director, along with Iowa, Indiana, Alabama and Kentucky.
🔴Businesses, including Regent Bank, Kimray and Oklahoma City-based arts and crafts retailer Hobby Lobby, are helping to provide the financial support that LifeWise Academy requires each community to have in order to pay for teachers and other aspects of the program that comes under the community resources category that must be funded locally.

This isn’t run of the mill Christian and I even read somewhere on their website that they are going after kids whose parents didn’t get them involved in religious training or did the wrong kind. Want you children to receive religious training…fine…send them to parochial school or do it on the weeke d or after school.. this is bs. They are supported by the Heritage Foundation amongst others…the aim is to make us a Christian Nationalist country. Thanks..but no thanks. We were founded on religious freedom.
- Facebook User: see we had good news club in Ohio but it was ran by local family friends who had students going to the school and it happened AFTER school not during school. idk a big company taking your kids on a bus elsewhere just sounds sketchy. why not just wait till after school and have it in the school? that way people know who their kids are with when they pick em up afterwards and where at.
