  We are writing on behalf of the LifeWise Newark City Board. LifeWise is a Bible based character education program offered to students during school hours through a legal process called released time instruction. With parental permission, students attend off-site classes that focus on values biblically based such as integrity, respect, responsibility, and good citizenship.
  This fall, we are preparing to launch LifeWise in all seven Newark City school buildings. To make this possible, we must raise $70,000 by August 1 to cover transportation, staffing, curriculum materials, and program infrastructure.
