LifeWise takes students out of art, music, STEM, gym or library classes to teach a narrow view of Christian beliefs, literal biblical interpretations, and Iron Age fairy tales. Sometimes the classes are held during lunch or recess, which are important social times for students. It is a blatant breach of the separation of church and state and has no place in public schools. Religious instruction can happen after school or on weekends, if parents wish. Having LifeWise in the schools is disruptive, divisive, and puts additional pressure on an already-packed curriculum.
