🚨Ohio🚨

Ohioans are buzzing about former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel possibly running for governor — but there’s more to the story than gridiron glory.

Tressel has deep ties to LifeWise Academy, the controversial Christian release-time program pulling kids out of public school classrooms for religious instruction during school hours. His name is set to appear on the LifeWise training room at their new national headquarters in Hilliard — a clear endorsement of a program that’s already under fire for failing to ensure basic safeguards for children.

Let’s not forget: Tressel was forced to resign from OSU amid a major NCAA scandal for covering up rule violations involving players and improper benefits. And his tenure overlapped with the university’s broader sexual abuse scandal involving Dr. Richard Strauss, which OSU allegedly ignored for decades. While Tressel wasn’t directly implicated, AHEM – the culture of silence and institutional protection thrived under his watch.

Now, he’s being floated as a gubernatorial candidate — and aligning himself with a religious group seeking to reshape public education. A religious group accused of similar negligence when it comes to child safety.

👀 If you’re concerned about the increasing overlap between politics, religion, and public schools — keep your eye on this one.
