LifeWise likes to invoke Madalyn Murray O’Hair as a villain to justify their push into Ashland schools. But here’s the truth: O’Hair’s case wasn’t about “removing prayer.” It was about protecting all students from government-imposed religion. 👏🏻

The Supreme Court ruled in 1963 that public schools cannot force Bible readings or prayers on children — a decision that protects religious freedom for everyone, including Christians, Jews, Muslims, and nonbelievers.⭐️

Invoking O’Hair as an excuse to push Bible classes back into the school day is a deliberate distortion. It ignores the real legacy of Abington v. Schempp: the principle that every child should feel welcome in their public school, free from religious coercion. 💯

If LifeWise must rely on demonizing a woman who defended constitutional rights, that says more about their agenda than about hers. 👀☝️

What people are saying:

  • Facebook User: I continue to be told that by those who support LifeWise that they aren’t trying to infiltrate schools; they are just trying to give kids the opportunity to hear “god’s word”. Yet, this book literally says they are putting religious education back into public schools. 🙄
    • Facebook User: Facebook User students have said the LifeWise attendees have been encouraged to tell students that they will go to hell and pressure others to join.Teachers claim its a disruption and creates problems. Parents should just take their kids to Sunday school.
  • Facebook User: Students can pray and read their Bibles pretty much any time at school. The laws prevent teachers and staff from forcing their religion on students
    • Facebook User: Facebook User anytime except during class..
    • Facebook User: Facebook User as long as they aren’t being disruptive even during class
    • Facebook User: Facebook User when you’re supposed to be taking a math test?
    • Facebook User: Facebook User That’s probably when most of the praying goes on. 😏
  • Facebook User: Invoking O’Hair is almost always an indicator of religious extremism by those who bring her up!
  • Facebook User: Fundamentalists, of every stripe, believe they have the only truth, and are compelled to convert all the world. Any lie or distortion is acceptable in that worldview. They want the USA to be fundamentalist Christian. Pressuring, scaring, and shunning are fine. The candy and literature they use to lure kids, and kids use with each other are simply tools to them.
  • Facebook User: Yeah they dont care about the constitution because they are christo-fascists and they want a theocracy
  • Facebook User: It’s all part of the kkkhristo fascist republican takeover.
