“We are not anti-religion. Many of our members are church-goers and active in their faith. The thing we are is pro-separation of church and state. We believe those need to be completely separate, that the school day and public schools are for education, reading, writing, social studies, and that religious education needs to take place separately, and those two should not be joined. Just like our founder, James Madison, who wrote the Constitution and authored those amendments, said that you can not let any cracks happen in that ‘wall of separation,’” Associate Director of Kentucky Citizens for Democracy Anita Davis said.”
