What people are saying:

  • Facebook User: AND…MORE EMBARRASSMENTS FOR MOMS FOR LIBERTY‼️
In the last two months alone, Moms for Liberty members and/or political candidates they’ve endorsed are facing serious charges, all of which it seems to me, reflect not only the hypocrisy of the “parental rights joyful warriors” but more importantly demonstrate the havoc and hate this group brings to schools and libraries across the country.
The most recent and serious cases–perhaps there are others?– are listed below (all verifiable online).

🟥1) R J May, chosen by Moms for Liberty as “Legislator of the Year”
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) – A Republican state lawmaker accused of using a social messaging app to distribute child sexual abuse material has resigned from the South Carolina House.
RJ May, who was indicted on 10 counts by a federal grand jury in June, informed House Speaker Murrell Smith of his decision in an Aug. 7 letter.
“I have decided that it is in the best interest of my family and constituents to resign immediately from the South Carolina House of Representatives,” he wrote.
May was taken into custody on June 11 following a more than one-year-long investigation into alleged child sexual exploitation crimes. He remains behind bars in Lexington County.

🟥2) Stef Boone, chapter chair, Moms for Liberty, Lowell, MI
A West Michigan librarian’s case against a member of the far-right group Moms for Liberty will proceed following a Kent County judge’s decision to deny a request for summary disposition.
Christine Beachler, library media director for Lowell Area Schools in May filed a civil suit against Moms for Liberty associate Stefanie Boone, hitting back against what Beachler described as a “smear campaign” including name calling, harassment and a flood of false statements posted to Facebook, including allegations that Beachler is providing pornography to minors.
“It’s just really hard to talk about. That’s why I’ve actually been working from home a lot. … I mean being called a groomer, being called a pedophile, I was called a whore, a smut peddler,” Beachler said in a previous interview with the Michigan Advance. “I’ve been an educator for 37 years and how can somebody call somebody that name that has invested their life in working with kids? It’s very hurtful and obviously untrue.”
🟥3) Alexandra Bougher, chapter chair in Bergen County, NJ, whose ongoing ugly public comments and hate against the lgbtq community have resulted in her removal from The Girl Scouts. The Girls Scouts have a welcoming and inclusive philosophy, and Bougher should have respected that. Instead, she chose hate as Moms for Liberty does every day.
🟥4) Jennifer Pippin, chapter chair, Indian River County, Florida, has a long history of feral behavior. A boastful anti-lgbtq bigot, Pippin regularly invades local libraries to find what she deems pornography in books. But that’s far from all she has done with the eager support of Moms for Liberty (in particular, cofounder, Tina Descovich): in a recent podcast with a known White Nationalist, Pippin defended the banning of a book about Anne Frank with the garden-variety antisemitism M4L is known for.

Pippin, apparently, is now being investigated by Florida authorities regarding her alleged licensure as a nurse.
🟥5) Ryan Walters, also endorsed by Moms for Liberty–
Dozens gathered at the state Capitol, calling for the impeachment of State Superintendent Ryan Walters. The rally follows WalletHub’s latest analysis, which ranked Oklahoma 50th out of 51 states and Washington, D.C., for public education. The ranking considered test scores, graduation rates, safety, and bullying statistics. Walters is currently under investigation by the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Two State Board of Education members allege they saw nude images on a television in Walters’ office during a recent meeting.
