“Kettering Ohio…every year there’s a parade and a festival. The parade guidelines specifically state that no handouts of any sort are allowed. Guess who didn’t care? These people borrowed a LW bus from another district, and were armed with flyers and CANDY! I politely told the children who tried to hand us flyers that they weren’t allowed to hand out anything. Their mom, with her backpack full of goodies, was not pleased that I said that 🙃. I’m in a neighboring district (Centerville) and will do my best to fight this and protect my 2 boys.
Oh and don’t worry, I’ll be emailing the chair of the parade and point out that their guidelines say a group can forfeit their spot next year if they don’t follow the rules.”
