๐ This is what REAL community care looks like. ๐
A small Presbyterian congregation is launching an after-school program that includes homework help, music, yoga, Bible stories, and dinner โ all centered on compassion.
โ
Every volunteer goes through BCI/FBI background checks (at the congregationโs expense).
โ
They have a public, comprehensive child safety policy.
โ
The program is inclusive โ open to all faiths or no faith at all.
โ
No proselytizing. Just support for kids and families.
๐ This is how trust is built. By meeting community needs, respecting diversity, and putting childrenโs safety and well-being first.
SEA will always lift up examples of faith communities who support students without crossing the line into public schools or coercion.

What people are saying:
- Facebook User: this! iโve been sayingโฆwhy be a nuisance. why not use the funding for something families need!!! I would never ever remember fondly the person that told me I would burn in hell if I didnโt go to class. ๏ฟผ but I would always remember the person who welcomed me in for homework help, and a safe space after school.
- Facebook User: How sad that membership in mainline Protestant churches is in decline when these churches promote community involvement and outreach. Hard to compete with light shows and rock bands, lobby coffee and theater seating.
- Facebook User: Facebook User yep same with the Episcopal church. These loving, accepting and community involved churches are having membership decline while the mega churches keep gaining members of their cults.
