What people are saying:
- Facebook User: Exactly. Perfect example.
- Facebook User: I may be agnostic but I know what he and they are trying to accomplish has nothing to do with god’s love.
- Facebook User: Got em!! 🤣
- Facebook User: “There is no hate like Christian love”
Or my preferred:
“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” – Mahatma Gandhi
- Facebook User: There is no reason to personally attack Jim White. Just because he is being cruel and combative doesn’t mean we can’t rise above it…. especially when he is dead wrong about his own religion. There is no reading of his holy book (or any holy book I have come into contact with… perhaps it’s in the necronomicon…) that can be interpreted as: “make sure you rub those non-believers noses in it so they’ll see you as hateful and will be sure to reject you out of hand.” It actually talks about not being a stumbling block to others, and how it’s a sin to act in a way that would keep people from hearing the gospel….. So shame on Jim, but there is no need to attack his IQ… Just his lack of education: secular and religious.
- Facebook User: Poor Jim White. He received the fear proper indoctrination provides. He is stuck in the denotation of the bible studies, not the connotation. This has robbed him of the beauty of the lessons, and what one is supposed to learn from the lessons. To quote Joseph Campbell ” To believe in God…God is a metaphor for a mystery that absolutely transcends all categories of human thought. Even the categories of ‘being’ and ‘non-being,’ those are categories of thought. I mean, it’s as simple as that. So it depends on how much you want to think about it. Whether it is doing you any good. Whether it is putting you in touch with the mystery that is the ground of your own being. If it isn’t….well, it’s a lie. So, half the people in the world are religious people who think that their metaphors are facts. Those are what we call theists. The other half are people who know that the…uh…metaphors are not facts. And so they are lies. Those are the atheists”. So here we are, watching Lifewise mess with kids heads, beat down their critical thinking, so that they will not respect their parents, and they will no longer follow the parents’ religion. I wonder how long it will take for the Catholics to see the fruits of Lifewise on their families. History repeats itself. Too bad so many want to repeat the lesson. All in the name of power and money.
- Facebook User: If it isn’t love, it isn’t Jesus.
- Facebook User: Jim White has a 2 digit IQ.
- Facebook User: Jim White is a scared little boy who probably was abused the same way.
