🚨UPDATE: Faith Life Church & the Keesees 🚨

Back in February, we shared information about the serious allegations and the growing investigation involving Faith Life Church in New Albany — the church led by Gary and Drenda Keesee, who are also well-known financial and ideological supporters of LifeWise Academy.

This week, NBC4 reported that a new lawsuit has been filed by a now-29-year-old woman who says she was abused from ages 5-16 by Gary Keesee Jr., the son of Faith Life’s senior pastors.
👉 The lawsuit claims church leaders were warned about the abuse years ago and failed to report it to authorities, allowing the abuse to continue.
👉 Gary Keesee Jr. is already under multiple indictments — including counts of rape, gross sexual imposition, and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor — spanning incidents from 2001-2012.

As we said in February, this is not just about one congregation. It’s about the duty of every leader who operates in children’s spaces to protect kids — and the danger when that duty is ignored.

SEA will continue to follow this story because the Keesees’ public platform and financial reach extend well beyond Faith Life Church — including their active promotion of LifeWise Academy’s school-day religious instruction programs.
