🚨 ILLINOIS – When Elected Officials Cross the Line
Illinois State Representative Bill Hauter recently used his public office to promote LifeWise Academy, calling it a “ministry” and celebrating its expansion into Morton Community Unit School District 709 and Tremont Community Unit School District 702.
That’s not community engagement — that’s a state lawmaker publicly endorsing a private religious ministry that removes children from class for Bible instruction during the public-school day.
Families in Morton and Tremont deserve better than to have their representative cheerlead a program that undermines instructional time and erodes the line between church and state. His duty is to protect the integrity of public education — not to promote sectarian instruction inside it.
Public schools belong to everyone — every background, every belief — and our elected officials should act like it.

- Facebook User: I have no issue with parents choosing a religious education forntheir child. I have a HUGE issue with Lifewise, Turning Point, the luring of young children and most of all disrupting the public school day. If you can’t see this as a push towards christian nationalism, you are either very naive, blind or that is what you want.
