🚨 OHIO: The “Baby Olivia Act” Just Passed the House
HB 485 — a bill that would force public schools to show an anti-abortion advocacy video (“Meet Baby Olivia”) to students every single year from 5th–12th grade — has passed the Ohio House.
The required video was created by Live Action, an ideological organization, not a medical body.
ACOG and other medical experts have already stated the video is not medically accurate and is designed to provoke an emotional response, not teach science.
Yet lawmakers want to mandate it in classrooms anyway.
This is the same pattern we’re seeing with religion-in-school bills, Ten Commandments mandates, and curriculum interference:
➡️ Outside political groups producing content
➡️ Legislators forcing it into public classrooms
➡️ Parents and educators cut out of the process
Under HB 485:
• Schools must show an ultrasound video + Baby Olivia or a “substantially similar” video
• Every year, grades 5–12
• Statewide compliance audits begin in 2026–2027
• Parents can opt out — but only after the mandate exists
• The bill passed on a strict party-line vote
This is not science education.
This is not medically accurate instruction.
This is political messaging being inserted into the school day.
