🚨 THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PULL KIDS OUT OF SCHOOL FOR RELIGIOUS PROGRAMMING 🚨
A child was left behind at a church while the rest of the group was transported back to school during a LifeWise transition.
Adults realized after the fact that a child was missing.
There was confusion over who was responsible for going back to get her.
At least one adult reportedly complained about having to do it at all.
So the child did what scared kids do when adults fail them:
She tried to get back on her own.
She walked alone.
She encountered multiple strangers.
She was eventually helped by a private citizen — not LifeWise, not the school, not a trained staff member — who safely returned her.
Let that sink in.
This child’s safety depended on luck, not safeguards.
And only after the incident did LifeWise supporters rush in to say:
“Protocols have been changed.”
That is not reassurance.
That is an admission.
Public schools have attendance systems, supervision requirements, trained staff, and accountability for a reason.
When you remove children from that environment and hand them off to outside religious groups, those protections fracture.
This isn’t about religion.
It’s about duty of care.
If:
• no one is clearly responsible
• supervision depends on volunteers
• accountability only appears after something goes wrong
then the system is broken.
Children are not props for ministries.
They are not acceptable collateral damage.
And they should never be left relying on strangers to get them back to safety.
This is exactly why Secular Education Association exists.
Because “it all worked out” is not a safety plan.
Public schools are for education.
Not experiments.
Not ministries.
And not apologies after the fact.

There are also parents who may have experienced something similar and feel ashamed to speak up because they were the ones who enrolled their child. They shouldn’t be. These programs are intentionally designed to appear innocent, nondenominational, safe, sanctioned, and routine — when they are anything but.

- Facebook User: Facebook User I need more than a facebook post by a parent to publish on my page for teachers in Ohio. There should be an incident report by the school made. That can be obtained by a Public Record Request? Did the parent file something with police?
One thing about Lifewise, I think they have a clause that schools can’t talk? I have heard a teacher say, “We can’t say anything about it, good or bad.”
