⭐️NEW SEA EDUCATOR RESOURCE GUIDE🍎
If LifeWise Academy or another released-time religious instruction program comes to your school, educators deserve clear, practical guidance.
The Secular Education Association has created an Educator Resource Guide to help teachers, staff, counselors, aides, and administrators understand their professional boundaries, protect instructional time, remain neutral in their official roles, and recognize when a school may be crossing the line into promotion or endorsement.
This guide covers:
• what educators are and are not required to do
• what school employees should not be asked to do
• example responses educators can use
• red flags to watch for
• questions to ask administrators
• how to document and report concerns
• the right of educators to be free from religious coercion too
We know public school educators are often placed in difficult positions when outside religious programs enter the school day. This resource was created to support you.

If you are an educator, please save this resource and share it with colleagues. If you know a teacher, counselor, staff member, union rep, or administrator who may need it, please send it to them.
Public schools should protect instructional time, professional boundaries, and every student’s right to a school environment free from coercion and religious favoritism.

Facebook User - Facebook User: Thank you for addressing this issue, though for our local municipality, it is too late! As a believer in Jesus, I am against this organization and wish we would have had this information sooner. Living in a small town (BIG FISH in a small town mentality) if you don’t ‘fall in line’ kids are bullied mercilessly. It has caused class warfare here very similar to our current political arena. Is this really what ‘public schools’ goals are now? Get your kids in church (a good one) if that’s your desire.
- Secular Education Association: Facebook User Thank you for sharing this. We are so sorry your community has experienced this. What you describe, especially the pressure to “fall in line” and the division it creates, is exactly why SEA has been sounding the alarm on released-time religious instruction programs since 2023. Public schools should not become sites of religious pressure, exclusion, or community fracture.

- Facebook User: This seems like an excellent and concise resource!
- Facebook User: Facebook User dig deep. Really dig deep. There is a hidden agenda there. The big picture. The picture that shows a wonderful and God fearing life. There is more to fear than God. Trust me!
- Facebook User: Facebook User dude, you need to be way less obtuse if you want me to know what TF you’re talking about
- Facebook User: This is a tremendous and comprehensive guide for educators. I encourage SEA members to look through it (even if you’re not a teacher), to better understand what is happening in public education. As if being a teacher wasn’t hard enough, the influence of an outside organization like LifeWise just compounds the challenges.
