This article says a lot more than I think its writers intended.
In Richland County, Ohio; LifeWise Academy was featured in a 31 churches in 31 days “March of Prayer” effort built around revival, spiritual renewal, and uniting the church community.
The article even quotes Pastor Paul Lintern talking about “claiming Mansfield for God.” And right there in that lineup were Richland Pregnancy Services, New Mercy Outreach, LifeWise Academy, Rubies, and BrightView.
🚨That should alarm every family with a child in public school.
Because this is exactly what many of us have been saying:
LifeWise is not separate from a broader evangelizing movement.
It is part of it.
When a school-day Bible program is this integrated into a revival-focused religious network, it has no business being treated as appropriate for the public school day.
And the lineup makes it even worse. This was not just openly religious groups. It also included BrightView, an addiction treatment provider. That does not make the event neutral. It helps make the whole sectarian network look broader, softer, and more community-friendly than it really is. And for people seeking addiction treatment — especially those with religious trauma — folding recovery into a revival atmosphere can make help feel less safe, not more.
Not separate.
Not neutral.
Not school-appropriate.
When LifeWise is standing shoulder to shoulder with these organizations inside a campaign about “claiming Mansfield for God,” the public has every right to ask why it is being allowed anywhere near public school children.
