We’re proud to share that our Executive Director has a letter to the editor published in the Washington Post Opinions section.

Texas officials were rightly criticized for excluding Muslim schools from the state’s voucher program. But the deeper problem is bigger than unequal treatment between religions.

It is the voucher system itself.

Once taxpayer money is used to fund religious education, the state inevitably starts deciding which faith communities are acceptable enough to support and which are not.

That is not religious liberty. That is government entanglement in religion.

The solution is not to widen the subsidy. It is to stop using public money to fund religious education at all.
