Rev. Mara Bim said it plainly: public schools are not Sunday schools.
And what is happening in Texas is not happening in isolation.
Across the country, we are seeing growing efforts to push religion further into public education through curriculum, policy, and school-day programming. The names and strategies may vary by state, but the pattern is familiar: blur the line, normalize the influence, and make children the audience.
Public schools belong to all children. They are not a mission field.
We are grateful for faith leaders, parents, educators, and community members willing to speak clearly and publicly about what is at stake.
