We fully support public schools.

We support public school teachers, counselors, staff, and administrators who show up every day for students under increasingly difficult conditions.

But support does not mean silence.

Public school employees and leaders hold positions of public trust. They have a responsibility to protect every student’s right to attend a school that is neutral, inclusive, and free from religious pressure.

When current or former educators, administrators, board members, or public officials use their titles, credibility, or inside knowledge of school systems to help private religious programs gain access to students during the school day, that is not “supporting kids.”

It is helping build the machinery that undermines public school neutrality.

We can support public education and still hold bad actors accountable.

In fact, we have to.

Because protecting public schools means protecting the students inside them – all of them.

Protect students. Protect public school neutrality.

What people are saying:

  • Secular Education Association: This is NOT about attacking public school educators.

It is about naming a documented pattern: current and former school insiders using their credibility to normalize religious access, chaplain programs, Bible-based “character” programming, and private religious partnerships during the public school day.

SEA will continue tracking and exposing that pattern.
