When children are asked what they love most about LifeWise, and the answer is “snacks and prizes,” adults should be paying attention.
This is not just “parent choice.”
It is a private religious program using the public school day to separate children from their classmates — and then making participation more appealing with treats, rewards, and social belonging.
In communities where families are already stretched thin, that raises serious concerns. No child should feel pulled toward a religious program because that is where the snacks, prizes, attention, or “fun” are.
Public schools should never be used to create religious pressure on children.
Kids should not have to choose between their classmates, their comfort, and their family’s beliefs.
Religious freedom requires neutral schools.

Elected officials must maintain neutrality. When they fail to do so, you give bigots ammunition to cry big ol’persecution tears and use those words to make even more money.

The best way to fight back when the law is on their side (for the moment) is strong but not overreaching constitutional policy and a smile. They wouldn’t have the case they do without his words.
