This Memorial Day, we remember the people who gave their lives for this country.
Not for one religion.
Not for one political party.
Not for one version of America.
They served a nation built on the promise of liberty- including the freedom to believe, the freedom not to believe, and the freedom to raise our children without the government choosing a religious side.
Public schools are one of the places where that promise is supposed to be REAL.
They belong to Christian families.
Jewish families.
Muslim families.
Hindu families.
Atheist families.
Agnostic families.
Families still figuring it out.
Families who simply want their children to learn in peace.
Religious freedom requires neutral schools.
When public schools are pressured to coordinate, accommodate, promote, or normalize religious instruction during the school day, that neutrality is put at risk.
And when neutrality falls, the students who do not belong to the favored faith tradition are the first to feel it.
This Memorial Day, we honor sacrifice by defending the freedoms those sacrifices were meant to protect.
Public schools belong to everyone.

What people are saying:
- Facebook User: From the First Amendment to the U. S. Constitution: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; . . .” The only other place religion is mentioned in the Constitution, which is the law of the land, is in Article VI, Clause 3 which states, ” . . . no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.” There is no mention of God, Christianity, Jesus, or any other religious entity in the Constitution.
- Facebook User: Yes, very true
- Facebook User: Our founders knew that if there’s a state, official religion, every time the king gets mad at the religious leaders, the people are forced to switch religions. Read about Henry the Eighth. Read why the Pilgrims left England. People died.
- Facebook User: Facebook User well, sorta. The Puritans left in part so that they were free to hate those they wanted to hate. After they fled to became the US, they felt free to murder Quakers for holding Quaker beliefs. So, maybe they’re not the best example to use in support of our country’s founding. Sadly, that Puritan strain of thought has remained, and is part of what fuels the xtian nationalism we see today.
- Facebook User: Public schools are not failing because of religion. They fail because they push far left ideologies with no balance and because half the teachers are inept.
- Facebook User: Facebook User what a wholly ignorant and uneducated comment. You’re an idiot.
- Facebook User: Facebook Userthat’s still much higher on the chart than you – Karen
- Facebook User: Facebook User and what evidence do you have to support your illogical argument? And what chart are you even referencing? Again, sheer idiocy from the peanut gallery.
- Facebook User: Facebook User what do you consider far left ideologies 🤔🤔🤔
- Facebook User: Facebook User example?
- Facebook User: Facebook Userand there is the problem, you don’t know the difference.
- Facebook User: Facebook User yes, coming from the GED generation herself.
- Facebook User: Facebook User that comment makes absolutely zero sense. Thanks for proving my point that you’re an idiot, who is wholly uneducated, and just spews propoganda because you have no factual evidence to support your hate based ideologies.
- Facebook User: Facebook User he can’t provide any. He is loaded with propoganda, no facts, and just spews bigoted and hateful rhetoric. He is an idiot.
- Facebook User: Facebook User prove it.
- Facebook User: Facebook User I’ve attended public and private schools. I assure you, I know every difference.
Please lead with examples and evidence. - Facebook User: Facebook User the problem is you cant even provide an example to back up your claim, you are supposed to be able to back up your claim with empirical evidence but you wont do that because you cant
- Facebook User: Facebook User no Karen, it’s up to you to prove me wrong and you cannot. But don’t worry, there’s so much wrong with public schools, there’s plenty of blame to spread.
- Facebook User: Facebook User then get your money back, you’re ignorant.
- Facebook User: Do you one better. Secular Education Association clean up aisle not fucking today.
- Facebook User: Facebook User false its not for me to prove you wrong, you made the claim, your job is to back thst claim up with facts, you clearly barely passed school because this is literally the basics of how debates and arguments work 🤦🤦🤦 you made the claim the burden of proof is on you, its the same as court, prosecution makes the claim that the defendant is guilty of a crime, the burden of proof falls on the prosecution, clearly you just cant back up your claims 👍👍👍
- Facebook User: Facebook User that’s not how it works. You don’t believe, then prove it wrong. Otherwise I’d be spoon feeding information that you, hopefully are capable of researching for yourself.
- Facebook User: Facebook User i can research but that’s not the point, you clearly never paid attention in school, for example, I can say I saw a pig fly, by your logic you have to prove me wrong rather than me showing evidence of what i actually saw 🤦🤦🤦 you really cant be this damn stupid dude like seriously
- Facebook User: Facebook User schools are failing because dumb people like you are reproducing. If a dude can’t help with third grade homework then why are they coming in vaginas?
- Facebook User: Facebook User
- Facebook User: Facebook User David’s education apparently since he doesn’t know shit.
