It reduces a living faith tradition to a campaign slogan, a culture-war badge, or a tool for forcing one group’s beliefs onto everyone else. Because the moment the government starts promoting “Christianity,” it is no longer protecting faith. It is using faith.
And history is very clear: when religion and political power merge, both are corrupted.

Children who were taken out of public school to go study the Bible during public school hours are being cheated out of an education by the people taking them out.
