🚨Micah Beckwith For Indiana’s Islamophobia MUST be publicly condemned.

On Eid, Beckwith used his public platform to tell Muslims in Indiana that he hopes they all become Christian.

That is not religious freedom.
That is full on Christian supremacy.

That is a public official looking at an entire religious minority community and saying: you would be better if you were us.

Micah Beckwith is not some random internet troll. He is the Lieutenant Governor of Indiana. He holds public office in a state where Muslim families live, work, pay taxes, attend public schools, and deserve equal protection and equal dignity under the law.

His job is to serve the public.
Not convert the public.
Not mock the public.
Not disrespect every Muslim in the state of Indiana AND our entire country.

Not use a Muslim holiday as an opportunity to push Christian dominance…. 👀

And this matters even more because Beckwith has publicly supported LifeWise Academy – a privately run Christian released-time program that pulls children out of public school during the school day for Bible instruction.

THIS is what we mean when we say public schools are being targeted by Christian nationalist politics.

When a public official who openly displays anti-Muslim hostility also supports school-day religious programs, every parent should be paying attention 🚨

Because this was never just about “religious instruction” or “parental rights”.

It is about power.
It is about access to children.
It is about using public school systems to normalize one religion as the default, while everyone else is treated as EVIL.

And while Beckwith promotes LifeWise and Christian conversion rhetoric, his own church world has been surrounded by deeply disturbing allegations and child-safety scandals. Beckwith serves as a pastor at Life Church’s Noblesville campus, while reporting has connected Life Church leadership to sexual misconduct scandals and a child exploitation case involving the lead pastor’s son.

-So no, we are not going to pretend this is harmless.

-We are not going to pretend this is “just his faith.”

THIS IS ISLAMOPHOBIA FROM A SITTING PUBLIC OFFICIAL.

THIS IS CHRISTIAN NATIONALISM IN OUR GOVERNMENT.

And this is exactly why public schools must remain secular, neutral, and free from religious coercion.

Muslim children belong in public schools.
Jewish children belong in public schools.
Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, atheist, agnostic, Christian, and questioning children belong in public schools.

They do not need to be converted.
They do not need to be targeted.
They do not need public officials treating their families as spiritually inferior.

Public schools belong to everyone.

Not Micah Beckwith.
Not LifeWise.

Not Christian nationalist politicians who think religious freedom only belongs to them.
