The attack on public education is not just about “taxes” or “school choice.”
🚨It is also about moving public money and public trust into private religious systems.
✔️First, lawmakers underfund public schools.
✔️Then they expand vouchers, charters, released-time religious instruction, chaplain bills, Ten Commandments bills, “biblical worldview” curriculum, and private religious school subsidies.
✔️Then they blame public schools for struggling under the conditions they created.
And while local communities are forced to raise property taxes to keep schools functioning, public dollars are being redirected into private schools and religious programs that do not have the same public accountability, civil rights obligations, transparency, or duty to serve every child.
That is the part we need people to understand.
This is not just privatization.
🚨🚨🚨It is a long-term effort to weaken the public school system that serves all children – and replace it with a patchwork of private, religious, and ideologically controlled alternatives funded by taxpayers.
Public schools belong to every child: Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, atheist, agnostic, LGBTQ+, disabled, poor, rural, immigrant, and every family in between.
✳️That is exactly why they are being targeted.
