🚨 Patrick Henry Local Schools families should be asking hard questions right now.
Local reporting confirms Christopher Walter -a Deshler pastor charged with grooming and sexual battery involving a minor — was also a Patrick Henry Local Schools employee and has been suspended without pay. Reporting also identifies him as the lead pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Deshler, Ohio
And Patrick Henry has confirmed he was a district bus driver.
That should stop every parent cold.
🚨Patrick Henry Local Schools also signed bus agreements with LifeWise Academy in both 2024 and 2025 allowing district school buses to be used to transport children to and from off-campus religious instruction when LifeWise transportation was unavailable.
🚨District emails show LifeWise actually used a district bus in April 2025.
🚨And public posts show Walter’s church supported and hosted/promoted LifeWise-related events or presentations.
So here’s the bigger question:
👉Where does the liability fall?
If LifeWise is “private” and “off-campus,” why is the district signing agreements that allow district buses to be used?
If district buses, district employees, or district-approved drivers are involved, where does school responsibility end and LifeWise responsibility begin?
So the questions are obvious:
Who drove LifeWise students when district buses were used?
Was Christopher Walter ever involved in LifeWise transportation, school-day religious programming, or any other off-campus student transportation?
Which adults were approved to drive, supervise, substitute, volunteer, host, promote, or access students?
Were parents told district buses and district-approved drivers could be used for LifeWise?
Were parents told which churches and adults were involved in promoting or supporting these programs?
This is not a rumor.
This is not a stretch.
This is exactly why parents demand transparency.
When a public school district mixes children, buses, churches, private religious programs, and outside adult access during the school day, “trust us” is not enough.
Parents deserve answers before something goes wrong …not after.
What people are saying:
- Secular Education Association: Also worth noting: Patrick Henry Local Schools publicly posted in October 2025 that “the LifeWise bus was involved in an accident” before picking up students. LifeWise’s own post said they were going to cancel for two days and then “rent a bus from our school district” until they figured out new transportation.
So this is not theoretical.
Patrick Henry had signed bus contracts with LifeWise.
LifeWise used/expected access to district transportation.
The district publicly communicated about a LifeWise bus accident.
And now local reporting confirms a Patrick Henry bus driver has been charged with crimes involving a minor.Parents should be asking: who drives, who supervises, who approves, who insures, and who is responsible when children are transported between school and LifeWise?
- Secular Education Association:
- Secular Education Association: 2024 Patrick Henry / LifeWise bus contract:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IrNgk5PfLhxq8sVH3O1WurnjbRkz_Aq_/view?usp=drivesdk2025 Patrick Henry / LifeWise bus contract:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_oiWHWDc1G_XTDNCUMA8MGnACVUPJJsr/view?usp=drivesdkThe 2025 contract says Patrick Henry may provide district school bus transportation for children enrolled in LifeWise to and from the off-campus location when LifeWise transportation is unavailable. It also says the bus may be operated by a Board employee or a LifeWise employee/volunteer with district-approved certification.
So the question remains: if LifeWise is “private” and “off-campus,” where exactly does district responsibility end when district buses, district insurance, district approval, or district employees are involved?
- Facebook User: That contract is for a paid rental of a bus. Not people. It is clear the school and LifeWise have different employees and hiring processes. This man worked only for the school.
- Secular Education Association: Facebook User The contract literally says Patrick Henry would provide transportation by district school bus, and LifeWise would pay $2.14 per mile plus $32 per hour.
Buses do not bill hourly. Drivers and transportation operations do.
The contract also says the bus had to be operated by a Board employee or a LifeWise-approved driver/volunteer. So calling this “just a paid rental of a bus” leaves out the part where the agreement plainly involved transportation service, not just a vehicle sitting in a parking lot.

- Facebook User: Facebook User….
- Facebook User: Facebook User we are crazy tho right?!)
- Zachary Parrish: 😬
- Facebook User: This is so sickening
- Facebook User: Facebook User they deleted the comments
- Zachary Parrish: Facebook User of course they did lol
- Facebook User: They are too busy worrying about drag story time at a library to actually care about children being harmed
- Facebook User:
- Facebook User: Lifewise shouldn’t be allowed to remove students from public schools!. In some cases they are missing recess, lunch, art & music.
- Facebook User: Facebook User don’t forget library time!
- Facebook User: Facebook User and in some cases, teachers jist aren’t teaching the remaining students when “Lifewise” pulls their peers out. So even when parents choose not to send their kids to School Day Indoctrination Camp, Lifewise is still robbing their kids of instructional time!
- Facebook User: Facebook User kids that don’t go get an extra specials time period. The last two years my daughter had an extra library time this year she had an extra art time each week.
- Secular Education Association: Facebook User this varies district to district, school to school. We absolutely have documentation of children who aren’t attending being given busy work or “study hall” in elementary school.
- Facebook User: Facebook User I am glad your school offered that, but that is not what is being reported from every Lifewise-participating school
- Facebook User: Facebook User 💯
- Facebook User: Facebook User not all of them do, mine hasn’t for two years. This year the specials teacher he was assigned to was an art teacher and she would do stuff with them. At my school its entirely up to the teacher. It’s more like a “study hall”.
- Facebook User: Facebook User that sucks. I didn’t realize they all did things different.
- Facebook User: Wow. Incredible work Secular Education Association. Even if the perp didn’t harm LifeWise participants, this is way too close for comfort. LifeWise, church youth camps, youth ministries all MUST BE SCRUTINIZED with sharp eyes and skepticism.
- Facebook User: Facebook User ALL youth camps need scrutinized – not church camps.
- Facebook User: I just knew the lifewise comment was true.. absolutely not surprised
- Facebook User: Facebook User
Our Reality in America Is the amount of Sexual Predators Abound!! - Facebook User: Facebook User already know their everywhere but why does it truly have to be a silver platter given to these monsters.. it’s so sickening

Totally Agree with you on that 👍 Enough is Enough!
- Facebook User: Facebook User
- Facebook User: Parents can get answers to these questions if they ask before anything goes wrong (not that knowing these answers would stop anything, though). I asked all of these type of questions and got the answers from life wise for my child’s district. I’m unsure what your issue is with getting this info if your child is attending life wise. Are you having a hard time getting a response?
- Facebook User: Facebook User You realize ‘answers’ can also be lies?
- Facebook User: Is this #4?
- Facebook User: Facebook User this one had nothing to do with Lifewise. lol
regardless, this guy should be completely cut off from him his job and arrested to the full extent.
- Facebook User: Facebook User not fully true. The churches he was associated with, were deeply entwined with lifewise.
- Facebook User: Facebook User huh? lol. You can say that about any situation.
- Facebook User: Facebook User this one had nothing to do with Lifewise. lol
- Facebook User: Would love to see his social media posts…
- Facebook User: I’ve been consider about Life wise….. not sure I like how this is being set up….
- Facebook User: Keep cults out of our schools
- Facebook User: You may want to start checking on your ‘secular educators’ … 2 per day are arrested for sexual misconduct with students. I get it, you’re trying to make some weird point and are focused on this one thing.
- Facebook User: Facebook User they will just get hired by LifeWise as Directors later…
- Facebook User: POS
- Facebook User: Take Lifewise out of the picture. This was a public school employee who had access to students. Start protecting our students everywhere. School, Lifewise and the church.
- Facebook User: Another Lie Wise pedo volunteer perp!!
- Facebook User: Facebook User we don’t have proof yet that he was directly involved.
- Facebook User: Wait a minute it’s like you’re trying to tell me that lifewise was a scam for pedo’s all along and any school that signed up should be investigated for such including indoctrination
- Facebook User: Fucking MAGAt perv!
