Hoosiers are pushing back. 👏
Tammy Pulford of Hoosiers United for Separation of Church and State said it plainly:
“Indiana’s top two elected officials should not be pushing partisan organizations such as TPUSA, LifeWise Academy, and a particular theology on Hoosiers, and they especially should not be imposing them in our public schools.”
EXACTLY.
This is not about whether students have free speech rights. They do.
This is not about whether students can form clubs. They can.
👉This is about elected officials using their power to normalize partisan and religious organizations inside public school systems -and then pretending community pushback is “censorship.”
Get real.
🚫Public schools should not be recruiting grounds for Turning Point USA.
🚫Public schools should not be pipelines for LifeWise Academy.
🚫Public schools should not be used to push one political movement, one religious worldview, or one narrow version of Christianity onto children.
Indiana families are seeing the pattern:
TPUSA in high schools.
LifeWise targeting elementary schools.
Politicians blessing it from the top.
“Freedom” language being used to open the door.
And Hoosiers are saying NO.
🇺🇸Free speech belongs to everyone.
State-sponsored favoritism does not.
Public schools belong to all children -not partisan organizations, not private religious programs, and not politicians looking for a youth recruitment strategy.
Thank you to Tammy Pulford and Hoosiers United for Separation of Church and State for saying what needs to be said.
Hoosiers are pushing back. And they are right to. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What people are saying:
- Facebook User: Well said! If that doesn’t make you think, look at what has happened in Ohio where in just the last few weeks 3 men who were involved in Life wise pleaded guilty to rape, sexual misconduct, voyeurism and sexual assault against minors. Though the victims identified weren’t part of the program, they never should have been allowed access to children so easily. Think about who you are putting your children with and why. There are Christian schools, Sunday schools and if nothing else you can teach them more than Lifewise ever will and do it without teach5them to hate those different from themselves.
