🚨UPDATE TO OUR PREVIOUS REPORTING:
Kenneth E. Holycross III has now been indicted in Miami County on dozens of charges involving children under 13.

WHIO reports the indictment includes 12 counts of rape, 5 counts of gross sexual imposition, 2 counts of attempted rape, 7 counts of sexual battery, 2 counts of grooming, and 2 counts of endangering children.

🚨The alleged incidents reportedly occurred between November 2025 and May 2026.

SEA previously reported that Holycross was listed as a LifeWise Academy Bethel Local teacher. We are not claiming these alleged crimes occurred during LifeWise programming. We don’t know. What we are saying this is why access to children, vetting, oversight, and transparency matter.

👉LifeWise staff and volunteers are NOT public school employees. They are not automatically subject to the same hiring, vetting, personnel, public-records, and accountability standards as school staff.

And yet public schools are being asked to release children to them during the school day… That should concern everyone. 😡

What people are saying:

  • Secular Education Association: Indictment is not conviction.
These are charges and the case is pending.

WHIO reports detectives believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to call 937-440-3986 or email tcooper@miamicountyohio.gov.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

  • Facebook User: Creepy organization
  • Facebook User: Just shut down Lifewise at this point
  • Facebook User: Is anyone else exhausted at seeing mug shots of white males charged and indicted and eventually convicted of raping children? I’ve yet to see a single drag queen or trans suspect!?!? However, the majority all seem to have ties to law-enforcement or organized religion.
  • Facebook User: A surprise to no one. There are 61 installments of these timmy mcveigh cross wielding perverts

Republican Sexual Predators, Abusers, and Enablers Pt. 61

  • Facebook User: SEA keeps beating a dead horse. Public school employees must go through a BCI & FBI background check every time they renew their license. Yet, we see teachers being convinced of crimes against kids. Where are your posts bashing school boards? This packaging could have easily passed all “safeguards” that you demand and nothing would have raised a red flag because he had a clean record. In fact, he still has a clean record because he has yet to be convicted. You act like a background check and arbitrary vetting will solve this, but this plagues every single career that requires a background check. Cops, social workers, lawyers, bankers, etc. Must be fun living in a land of delusion…..
    • Facebook User: Facebook User who are you to give substandard background checks a pass when working with kids?
    • Facebook User: Facebook User excusing child predators, couldn’t be me, man.
    • Facebook User: Facebook User Substandard? A background check only reveals what you have been convicted of. Every teacher in Ohio has a Ohio BCI and an FBI background check. They cannot predict future behavior. You are living in a fantasy land if you think there is a better way to screen teachers, doctors, cops, etc. It is as if you all are convinced there is a crystal ball that foretells of future crimes against children.
    • Facebook User: Facebook User I am not excusing anything. I am a mandated reporter and have called yo report potential abuse at least 50 times in my career. My point is you could screen every Lifewise person like you do every teacher and cop and you will still have situations where people prey on kids – people who had a spotless background check.
    • Facebook User: Facebook User yes, what Lifewise Academy has used consumer level background checks that don’t focus on criminal, and don’t have the reach that a BCI/FBI does. Furthermore, teachers also enroll in RapBack.
Lifewise doesn’t have any requirements by law to do a background check equal to a teachers.
      Why does this matter?
Pulling students out to questionable locations with badly vetted individuals is a serious risk that’s unnecessarily added.
There are many layers of oversight and transparency that schools have that Lifewise doesnt.
SEA is dedicated to this cause because of that lack of transparency and oversight.
