🌈 Pride Month reminder:

Public schools are supposed to be safe for all students.

✔️ That includes LGBTQ+ students.
✔️ That includes kids with LGBTQ+ parents.
✔️ That includes the kids still figuring out who they are… and watching very closely to see which adults think they are worth protecting. 👀

Secular public education is not anti-religion.

👉It means no child should be shamed, isolated, preached at, or erased at school because someone else’s religion disapproves of them.

LGBTQ+ human beings are not political.
Public schools belong to everyone.

What people are saying:

  • Facebook User: If the issue isn’t political, then why the need for propaganda?
    • Secular Education Association: Facebook User If by “propaganda” you mean a Pride flag or a message telling LGBTQ+ students and families they are safe and welcome, then yes… we are absolutely going to say that out loud.

Public schools should not be sending the opposite message. A rainbow is not propaganda and a child knowing they belong is not either.

The propaganda is convincing people that some students’ identities are a “political issue” instead of human beings sitting in our classrooms.

    • Facebook User: Facebook User bless your heart
  • Facebook User: Only around 13% of lgb etc people are Republicans

    So yes, they are political

And when we inject lgb etc nonsense into school

    We’re injecting Marxism

  • Facebook User: Says those who ruin every family function by railing on about their politics…
    • Facebook User: Facebook User bless your heart
