🌈Last day of Pride Month reminder:

🎯The same people screaming about “parental rights” are using your tax dollars to fund private religious schools that can reject, punish, shame, or erase LGBTQ+ children.

🎯The same people calling Pride flags “indoctrination” are pushing Bible mandates, Ten Commandments displays, religious release-time programs, and voucher schemes into public education.

🎯The same people claiming they want “choice” are building a system where public schools are drained, private religious schools are funded, and queer kids are treated like a problem to be managed instead of children to be protected.

Don’t let em claim otherwise…

🏳️‍🌈A Pride flag tells a child, “You are safe here.”

A voucher-funded discriminatory school tells a child, “Your family paid taxes, but you still don’t belong.” 🚫 That is not freedom, parental rights, or education.
👏🏻It’s Christian nationalism using children as collateral.

Public schools belong to: LGBTQ+ kids, trans kids, kids with two moms, two dads, one parent, no church, another faith, or no faith at all. Public schools belong to everyone.
🖕And we are not going back in the closet so someone else can call their discrimination “school choice.”

Happy Pride. 🏳️‍🌈 Mean it all year long.

What people are saying:

  • Facebook User: Let’s be honest, what you’re really saying is the state should have more influence over children than their own parents.
    • Secular Education Association: Facebook User be honest, you’re a bigoted POS.
    • Facebook User: Facebook User no, that’s just the argument you decided you wanted to make and now you’re doing mental gymnastics to work your implicit biases in. You should be ashamed of yourself, but I’m sure you lack the capacity for such introspection.
    • Facebook User: Facebook User in Ohio, yes. Children are wards of the state.
    • Facebook User: Facebook User nope, you are able to segregate your child from whichever minority you feel is inferior, just don’t expect us to pay for it
    • Facebook User: Facebook User, I’ve seen those parents, and this isn’t the flex you think it is🤣🤣
    • Facebook User: Secular Education Association
Wow, a bigot? Is that because you believe my minority children should always be under state control? Did SEA just side with the rebel flag toting rural south? How very racist of you. Or maybe, my decision to homeschool my minority children to give them a statistically higher chance of financial and professional success than minorities receive in the systemically racists government school system conflicts with your elitists dogma? It seems that the real bigot here isn’t the bi-racial family doing what’s best for their children but the union backed pawns trying to keep minority children under their control.
    • Facebook User: Facebook User
My implicit bias toward the systemically racist public school system? Sure, I’ll do what I have to for my minority children to receive the best education they can…and government school is demonstratably not it.
    • Facebook User: Facebook User
Lol..which minority would that be? I have minority children and your government schools have consistently demonstrated that they don’t care about my children. Numbers don’t lie.
    • Secular Education Association: Facebook User you’re arguing with a fantasy version of what we said.

      That’s the point, Bran.

Systemic racism has absolutely harmed public schools — especially schools serving Black, brown, poor, and disabled children.

But your solution is to pull your own kids out, drain more support from the system, and then use the damage as proof that public education is the problem. That does not fix racism.

It privatizes escape for some families and leaves everyone else with fewer resources.

    • Secular Education Association: Facebook User Bigotry is not limited to racism.

      It can be anti-LGBTQ, anti-immigrant, anti-poor, anti-disabled, anti-non-Christian, or anti-public school families.

You don’t get to redefine the word just because racism is the only version you know how to weaponize back at us.

    • Facebook User: Facebook User whatever you say, hilljack. 😂
    • Facebook User: Facebook User Just say you abuse kids
    • Facebook User: Facebook User As this group clearly shows parents and taxpayers are deciding how the schools should be ran.
  • Facebook User: Absolutely 💯
  • Facebook User: 💯
  • Facebook User: 💯 correct.
    Happy Pride! ❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜

  • Facebook User: Hey secular boys and girls. What is your problem with home schooling?
    • Facebook User: Stu Lapp Lol ok bot
  • Facebook User:
  • Facebook User: A pride flag welcomes sin, what type of group is this
  • Facebook User: Aside from the prison stats, the fact that your mental disorders account for the highest child abuse and child abuser rates, highest diagnosed mental disorder rates, highest std rates, highest divorce rates of any demographic… exactly what are you proud of?
