Remember when we warned about “Success Sequence” bills?

It’s morality politics dressed up as curriculum; teaching students that poverty is about personal choices while ignoring the systems that keep families struggling.

Poverty is not a character flaw.

Public schools need evidence-based education, not ideological scripts about what a “successful” life is supposed to look like.

What people are saying:

  • Facebook User: I assume this will be as effective as the drug lecture we got 30 years ago. Teen pregnancy has plummeted in the last decades, another fake problem as an excuse to push correlation as evidence and put down families who don’t fit their mold.
    • Secular Education Association: Facebook User YEP. That.
  • Facebook User: Young people know this isn’t true. Hopefully they will pass it down to the even younger ones.
