  The wealthy districts have directly benefited from the poor by stealing their wealth, via wages and time, healthcare, public school dollars, and all other stabilizing infrastructure. The wealthy preached humility and selflessness while both of their hands were in the proverbial cookie jar. The poor are poor because the wealthy like it that way and create policies that keep it that way.

  They also teach the downtrodden to turn on each other and participate in the disparagement of their own components.

  We have not even begun to discuss the community impact of slavery, segregation, and the pathology that is passed down into areas that are deliberately targeted and kept poor.

I know this is hard for some to accept, but kids from wealthy districts are more likely to both follow “the sequence” and be “successful” in life because they have more opportunity and access to resources. Girls from affluent families have more access to contraception, use it at higher rates and have far fewer unintended pregnancies, then go on to choose abortion at a higher rate PER unintended pregnancy. 32% of unintended pregnancies among women with 400% poverty line go through with abortion vs. 9% in lowest income brackets (according to Brookings Institute).

  But yeah. It’s definitely the abstinence curriculum 🙄

• Facebook User: I was raised by Apostolic pentecostal parents. Guess what? Pregnant at 13 and a mom at 14. You can be raised to be abstinent only and not follow it. Definitely screwed the success sequence up. I got married next at 21 then went to and graduated college at 25.
  I’m 44 now and while I’m not living in poverty I’m not rolling in money either.
