TEXAS parents are being asked to fill this out when registering their children for public school…
This is not just a permission slip. It is a public school placing a religious participation question inside mandatory enrollment paperwork. That alone creates pressure, stigma, and a paper trail around a family’s religious boundaries.
Public schools should NOT be asking families to declare a position on school prayer just to complete registration.
Voluntary or not, this is exactly how coercion enters the building. 👀

- Facebook User: This was part of SB 11 and The law required all Texas public school boards to formally vote on whether to adopt or reject this policy.
Not all schools boards in Texas adopted this however a few did adopt this path. This is why it is so important to pay attention to local elections.

- Facebook User: Facebook User It is a CHOICE. If you or your child don’t want your child to participate, they don’t have to. I think that’s fair. Religious freedom means that I can be Christian, Muslim, Wiccan, Hindu, Buddhist, Athiest and/or everything in between. I actually think that they did the right thing by not forcing it on everyone but allowing them to choose to participate. I don’t feel that one should ever be forced into a religion.
