OHIO 🚨 Jon Husted’s handpicked Franklin County campaign chair has resigned after reporters uncovered his 2009 guilty plea in a case involving a 15-year-old.

Andrew Havas was originally charged with sexual misconduct with a minor and later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault. Husted’s campaign says Havas never disclosed the case.

That excuse should sound painfully familiar…

As lieutenant governor, Husted toured Ohio promoting LifeWise. LifeWise founder Joel Penton credited Husted’s office with orchestrating meetings across the state to introduce the organization to community leaders.

👉Husted later selected Rep. Gary Click as his Sandusky County campaign chair.

👉Click was one of the lawmakers who championed LifeWise’s agenda and helped change Ohio law so school districts are now required to adopt released-time religious instruction policies.

👉Click has also faced scrutiny over his own disturbing public testimony about conversations in which “young girls” allegedly described painful sexual experiences to him.

Meanwhile, SEA has repeatedly uncovered serious child-safety concerns connected to LifeWise programs:

▪️ A LifeWise director whose teaching license had been revoked following allegations of sexually explicit communications with students.

▪️ A registered sex offender connected to a church used by a LifeWise program.

▪️ A proposed LifeWise location inside a factory employing a registered sexually violent predator with a child victim.

▪️ LifeWise-affiliated staff or volunteers charged with sexual offenses involving minors.

And now one of Husted’s campaign chairs has resigned over a previously undisclosed criminal case involving a 15-year-old.

John Husted opened doors across Ohio for LifeWise. Gary Click changed the law to help LifeWise enter more schools.

LifeWise continues demanding access to public-school children while its vetting failures and dangerous associations are exposed again and again. And every time, the public hears some version of the same excuse:

“We didn’t know. They didn’t disclose it.”

Organizations and politicians seeking access to children do not get to rely on the honor system. Period.
