Since 2017, LifeWise has received 56 grants totaling $3,418,575. (Remeber this is over two years ago so it’s definitely more now!)
Nearly $1.2 million came from the National Christian Foundation, one of the nation’s largest providers of donor-advised funds focused on Christian donors.
NCF has also drawn scrutiny for distributing tens of millions of dollars to organizations designated as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center, including groups opposing LGBTQ+ rights and organizations described as anti-Muslim or anti-immigrant. One example is Alliance Defending Freedom.
And that is not the only funding connection worth examining.
In 2023, The Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Columbus gave LifeWise $50,000—a particularly interesting contribution given how often we are told LifeWise’s theology does not align with Catholic doctrine.
