🧠Thought experiment:
Imagine a law requiring private Christian schools to release students once or twice a week so they could attend an off-campus program teaching evolution, comparative religion, or secular ethics.
The program is privately funded. Parents can opt in. It’s all perfectly legal.
Would that make you uncomfortable?
If your answer is yes, ask yourself why.
Now consider how families with children in public schools feel when students are pulled from the school day for religious instruction organized around a faith they may not share.
The issue isn’t whether religious parents should be free to teach their children their beliefs. 👉The question is whether the public school day should be used to facilitate religious instruction at all.
What people are saying:
- Facebook User: Your religion needs to be taught during your sunday school time, not during our public school time.

- Facebook User: You prove more than you realize. There is no non-religious education. Everything incorporates unverifiable assumptions about the nature of the universe.
So we shouldn’t have public education at all.

In this scenario, the Christian kids go to learn science from ignorant folks who haven’t gone to years and years of accredited education training. They learn bad science, racist science, and finally a curriculum that teaches kids that those who don’t believe like them? They aren’t good people.
They bring that indoctrination back and put it into practice.
And that’s the point. During school hours, kids who don’t know better are being taught to hate and ostracize based on information given to them by a third party.
