We’re sick and tired of LifeWise Academy having no accountability and facing no repercussions for failing to abide by their own legal agreements.

Secular Education Association has been continuously forced to make LifeWise abide by the terms of the settlement agreement they signed with SEA co-founder Zachary Parrish in December 2024.

When we published their curriculum so parents could review what was being taught to their children by this organization (you know the one who is asking to pull these students out of school during class time) they sued our co-founder for copyright infringement. With the help of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and local attorneys, a settlement was agreed to by both parties.

➡️➡️ The settlement requires LifeWise to provide access to its “complete and current curriculum” — defined as materials disseminated to students enrolled in LifeWise programs, as well as any updates to it, to anyone who requests it.

Zach and Secular Education Association have upheld their end. LifeWise has failed to do so until they were forced, time and time again.

👉 June 2025 – six months after the settlement agreement was finalized, LifeWise had not yet made the curriculum for middle school or highschool grades available. Zach’s local attorney sent LifeWise a letter, demanding compliance.

👉 Feb 2026 – LifeWise was sent another compliance demand by local attorneys after it was discovered different highschool curriculum paths and program options were being promoted their internal and promotional materials.

Despite there being different programs, with different scheduling requirements, different course credit options including dual highschool/college credit, despite the programs having two different names entirely…. LifeWise responded and said both programs used the same curriculum.

👉 Now – After SEA uncovered LifeWise had developed and distributed a new Vacation Bible School/Summer Camp curriculum to their programs, another letter was sent, this time by EFF. The letter references the highschool curriculum discrepancy, the new VBS curriculum, and videos that are shown to students during classes.

🚩 If LifeWise can’t follow and uphold a legal agreement without being forced every step of the way, how can you trust them to follow any other law, policy or regulation that they find inconvenient?

There are mountains of evidence that show us they won’t, this is one tiny example.

What people are saying:

  • Secular Education Association: A parent led activist group should not have to threaten legal action to hold a multimillion dollar company to a settlement they agreed to.
