Apparently Paden City Elementary in West Virginia doesn’t understand they have a constitutional responsibility to remain neutral and not endorse religious programming.

This is exactly what inherent coercion looks like. Students being told by their school, on the school’s official platform, that they can’t grow as a whole person without LifeWise’s indoctrination.

In 1992 in the case of Lee v. Weisman, the Supreme Court explicitly ruled that young students are uniquely susceptible to psychological coercion and peer pressure. This is why it is so important for schools, especially ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, to avoid even the appearance of endorsement.

What people are saying:

  • Facebook User: When did the far right decide that “it takes a village”? They used to rage against that
  • Facebook User: This is what appears if you try to access the picture.
  • Facebook User: I commented, as well as others and they deleted the post.
    • Zachary Parrish: Facebook User
  • Facebook User: Yeah, the implication here is definitely that your kid is going to be a social outcast if you don’t let them participate. It’s so gross.
    • Zachary Parrish: Facebook User even if it wasn’t done with that intent, that is what the reality becomes when these schools endorse and fully entangle the programs.
  • Facebook User: West Virginia sucks at educating children period. They need a miracle and maybe they think “god” Will deliver.
