You call this “RESPECT”?
LifeWise gives students this scenario:
“My teacher says I should stop talking about God at school because it makes other students uncomfortable.”
🚩And the “correct” response is to keep doing it.
The same lesson tells kids that when their parents say church is a waste of time and they should stay home instead, the “correct” answer is to keep going to church anyway.
And this isn’t an isolated activity. The entire lesson is built around the message that Daniel “chose to obey God no matter what.” It tells instructors that obedience may be difficult, reminds students that Daniel chose God over the king, and concludes that they should put God “before anyone or anything else.”
Then LifeWise applies that lesson to teachers, parents and classmates.
👉A classmate is uncomfortable? Keep going.
👉A teacher tells you to stop? Keep going.
👉Your parents want you home instead of at church? Keep going.
🚫That isn’t respect.
It teaches children that their religious conviction can take priority over other people’s beliefs, boundaries, wishes and authority — because obedience to God comes first.
Religious freedom protects your right to believe. It does not mean everyone around you is obligated to be your audience.
Stop calling religious obedience “character education.” 😡

I had such a bad experience in my childhood with an overzealous family member and have no desire to go to church at this point in my life. I live right. I read my Bible and live the life he expects us too. If and when I decide to attend church it will not be done under duress. Indoctrination at its finest.
